Dumbarton Beer Festival : 19 March 2004

This was held under the stadium at Dumbarton Football Club, scenically situated in the shade of Dumbatron's Castle Rock. No one was interested in the scenery, however, as the weather was not pleasant and, more importantly, there was beer to be sampled inside!

Cellarman-in-chief, Kenny Diver, makes last-minute adjustments to the
positioning of the casks.

11.30 am and everything is ready, all we need is a customer, or two.

The bar in
action.

Chief of Staff, Alan Williamson, about to fill one of the first glasses of the day.

By 7 pm the hall fills up with eager customers.

The advertised band, the Skinnydippers, suffered from a last-minute attack of modesty. Instead, we werer entertained by the more folky tunes of the substitute band who gave an excellent performance.

Service with a smile, well nearly, from Kenny Gillies and Ken
Barrowman.

A cask's eye view of the festival.

Some of the festival attendees, in party mood!
