Glasgow & West of Scotland Branch of The Campaign for Real Ale

Members' Weekend 2005

including the National AGM & Conference

Pub Crawls

Scotland Branches prepared four pub crawls in the city, plus a crawl of two seaside towns in Ayrshire and a Renfrewshire pub crawl. Detailed descriptions for the four Glasgow crawls are given in Word document links below.

The Merchant City
- a tour of pubs on the AGM's doorstep.

The Subway Crawl
- a station-by-station guide to the best real ale outlets near each
station.

The West End Crawl
- a detailed crawl of Glasgow's trendy West End, centred around Byres Road. There is some overlap between this and the Subway Crawl, so you can switch crawls in mid-pint if you want to!

Southside
- using Glasgow's famous suburban railway, The Cathcart Circle, a guide to malt-and-hopping by train hopping.
